American made medium frame double action revolver chambered in .357 Magnum, manufactured in Springfield, MA. circa 1978-1979. The Model 19 features a nickel finish, a pinned 4" barrel, serrated sight rib, raised 1/8" serrated ramped front sight (painted red), micrometer adjustable notch rear sight, serrated curved trigger with adjustable travel stop removed, color-case semi-target hammer, checkered hammer spur, checkered cylinder release, fluted six-shot cylinder, shrouded ejector rod, about half length underlug, three screw square butt K target frame, ten groove grip straps, and two-piece checkered laminate Magna grips with gold-colored S&W medallions. Revolver retains approximately 98% of its original nickel finish showing superficial blemishes. and a drag line on the cylinder. Metal shows no rust or deformation. Action is smooth and crisp with a tight lock-up, and the bore is bright with strong rifling. The wood grips are excellent with nothing remarkable.
